Neuro-linguistic programming PRACTITIONERS
Every tutor at Eden Learning Place is a trained NLP Practitioner. NLP is a proven and effective approach to understanding how individuals perceive the world around them, how they process information and communicate with others.
In essence, NLP is a field that explores the relationship between neurology (neuro-), language (-linguistic), and patterns of behaviour and communication (-programming). NLP techniques aim to understand and change negative patterns of thought and behaviour through effective communication.
NLP taps on a individual's personal sphere of reality and problem-solving. It helps him to be conscious of and analyse his personal perspectives, as well as that of others, on a given situation. With this insight, intuition and logical thinking will be able to process the available information, and the body and mind will influence each other to take an actionable step towards resolution. Thus, NLP is an experiential approach where a student is taught how to analyse this own thoughts and understand why he does certain things. For example, if a plan fails or the unexpected happens, the experience serves as valuable feedback and catalyst for improvement and change. Modeling, taking action, and effective communication are key elements of NLP. The belief is that once an individual understands how a role model has successfully accomplished a task, the process may be modeled so that he too can be successful.

DISC Personality Profiling
DISC personality profiling is a tool that helps us understand different aspects of our personalities and how we interact with others. It categorizes people into four main personality types:
Dominance (D)
Influence (I)
Steadiness (S)
Conscientiousness (c)
The Dominance type (D) represents individuals who are confident, assertive, and results-oriented. They enjoy taking charge, making decisions, and are often seen as natural leaders. The Influence type (I) includes outgoing and social individuals who are enthusiastic, persuasive, and thrive in social settings. They are great at motivating others and building relationships. The Steadiness type (S) consists of people who are calm, patient, and reliable. They value stability, cooperation, and prefer working in harmonious environments. They are excellent listeners and are supportive team members. Lastly, the Conscientiousness type (c) represents individuals who are detail-oriented, analytical, and organized. They strive for accuracy, follow rules and pay great attention to details.
By understanding one’s personality type and recognizing the unique traits of others, we learn to communicate better, resolve conflicts more effectively, and create harmonious relationships. DISC profiling is often used schools, work, and personal relationships. Also, remember that no personality type is better or worse than others. Each type has their unique strengths and contributes to the diversity of the world. DISC personality profiling simply helps us understand ourselves and others better, leading to improved interactions and greater success in various aspects of life.

Eden Learning Place was founded in 2006 with a strong mission to serve the community we are situated in and to empower our students with brain-based learning strategies to excel in school. Through time-tested learning tools and exam strategies, many of our students have experienced breakthrough in their studies and personal lives.
We provide a wide range of structured and customized tuition courses for Primary, Secondary, O level, IGCSE and IB Diploma subjects. In addition, we have qualified in-house Life Coaches-cum-Teachers who are armed with motivational tools to coach and guide our students towards breakthrough in school performance and personal lives.
